Recording your iPhone with Kite
Kite allows you to record your iPhone screen wirelessly from your Mac, using a custom recording mode built around the Mac's iPhone mirroring app.
System requirements
To use this feature you must be able to use Apple's "iPhone Mirroring" app:

You will need:
- Mac with Apple silicon or Mac with the Apple T2 Security Chip
- macOS Sequoia 15 or later
- iPhone with iOS 18 or later, set up to use a passcode.
- iPhone and Mac signed in to the same Apple Account using two-factor authentication.
- Your iPhone and Mac have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on.
- Your iPhone is locked and near your Mac. It can also be charging and using StandBy.
- Your Mac is not sharing its internet connection or using AirPlay or Sidecar.
The iPhone Mirroring app may or may not be available in EU countries due to ongoing privacy debates between the EU and Apple.
How to record:
Click the "record screen button" to open the recorder
Choose iPhone in the recording toolbar:
Kite will then walk you through the rest of the process of connecting to your iPhone and starting the recording:
You can use the shortcut buttons on the side (or the keyboard shortcuts listed) to quickly navigate around on the iPhone:
Kite will record your mouse interactions just like it does in the Mac screen recording modes, so the auto-zoom features will work as expected (Kite can automatically zoom and follow your cursor, if you want).
When you finish recording, the recording will show up in an iPhone mockup inside of Kite:
Kite will render a mobile "touch dot" cursor on screen, by default:
Unlike with desktop recordings, this cursor will only show when on "mouse down" events, to simulate the look of a finger pressing a screen.
You can customize the look of the mobile cursor in the Cursor sidebar tab:
